Being a mother of three ensures a hectic schedule by default, but add being a three-time Olympic gold-medalist to the mix and you just gave a new meaning to mom on-the-go. Kerri Walsh Jennings, one of the best volleyball players in the world, knows all about busy schedules and as training for the 2016 Summer Olympics begins – physical workouts aren’t the only thing this beauty has been penciling in. Kerri recently teamed up with one of our faves, Skin Authority to be their new skin care ambassador and with this great new role she’s gained a great new coach – of the skin care variety – in Skin Authority CEO Celeste Hilling – who has been “training” Kerri for years using The Beauty Workout. We chatted with Kerri recently about her new role and found out some of her Olympic-worthy on-the-go beauty workout tips (as well as a few on-the-go fitness tips!) Check them out below:
Between traveling and training, maintaining healthy, glowing skin must be tough – what are some go-to tricks or tips you have for maintaining healthy skin with a busy schedule?
Stick to it! You have to be stalwart about the things you believe in. I have a regimen because I have to have it! On the road, I have decided that I will always pack a separate bag for my Skin Authority routine.
What are some of the key products you cannot leave home without?
Great hair and skin care always pay dividends in how you look!
What is your “Beauty Workout?”
All from Skin Authority: I wake up and cleanse with either Daily Cleanser or Moisturizing Cream Cleanser. I put the product on my face when my skin is dry and love the feeling they leave. In the a.m., I also use Dramatic Eye Lift, Wrinkle Reversing Serum, Super-C Serum, Reviving Eye Brightener, and of course, Sunscreen Moisturizer.
At night, I cleanse and then exfoliate with Resurfacing Accelerator. Then I apply the Brightening Serum, Vitamin A Cell Renewal, Tri-Power Peptide Hydrator, and VitaD Elixir.”
When you aren’t training to be an Olympic champion, what are some of the things you like to do to keep fit?
We are outside all the time. I want to be a stand-up paddle boarder, but have a huge fear of sharks! We love to be active. I did Pilates – pre- and post-babies. I’m active with the boys in soccer and baseball.
I have two or three workouts per day Monday-Friday, sweat five-six hours daily and totally believe in rest days. My goal is to make sure I am prepared head to toe. I have surrounded myself with people who make me better!
