Good deeds don’t go unnoticed, which is why this month’s Good Karma feature pays attention to SiSpa and its Pay It Forward Program. Established as the Give Back Program in March 2012, the now-titled Pay It Forward Program is a charitable initiative designed to give back to (and garner awareness of) some of the SiSpa brand’s favorite organizations.
Promoting health and wellness is SiSpa’s top fundraising priority for 2014 (and we here at Spafinder Wellness 365™ like the sound of that, of course!). To back up its promise, the spa brand has vowed to donate 10 percent of proceeds from the sale of select treatments to four separate non-profit organizations (see below*).
The concept is simple but powerful: Spa-goers can select from three Pay It Forward treatments—the Twice as Nice Swedish Massage (50 mins; $115), the Double Relaxation Facial (50 mins; $115), and the Keeps On Giving Manicure & Pedicure ($110)—as well as choose which worthy cause they’d like the donation to be, well, paid forward.
Pay It Forward has a two-pronged approach—not only does it offer a philanthropic aspect, but it provides an educational one, too: The spas are decorated with collateral about each charity, therefore creating increased awareness.
