Destination Discovery: Asia

We brought you the tropical escapes of the Caribbean, the urban havens of NYC, and the laidback oases of Austin—and our next spa guide spotlights what we here at SpaFinder® Wellness refer to as “the magnificent Asian spa road.” There is arguably no better place for spa-lovers to travel, as Asia inspires with its ancient spa and wellness traditions—revered practices that are used in present-day, every day.

There are countless breathtaking spas throughout Asia, making it difficult to choose, but scroll through for some of those we deem supreme here (and share your favorites in the comments!).

Best of Asia spas, The Peninsula Bangkok

The Peninsula Spa at The Peninsula Bangkok - Bangkok, Thailand

Guests have come to expect a certain preeminence of the luxury Peninsula brand, and The Peninsula Bangkok, along the west bank of the Chao Phraya, appears to, indeed, exceed expectations of even the most discerning travelers. The Peninsula Spa, within a three-story, colonial-type building, sets a certain spa-going precedence, from the lavish design (with hints of Thai silk fabric, red brick, and wood) to the bespoke menu combining Ayurvedic, European, and Thai disciplines. Another impressive asset? The hotel’s three-tiered pool, surrounded by teak wood gazebos.
