Jane Fonda Speaks to Destination Spa Goers at Rancho La Puerta by Susie EllisAm at Rancho La Puerta. It's "Jane Fonda week." Actually this is the first time Jane has been to the Ranch and she stopped by to say thanks to Deborah Szekely with whom I was having breakfast this morning. Wow...all of us at the table agreed that she looks fantastic! She is smaller than I remember and still has great hair, great bone structure, and that familiar voice. Then someone mentioned to me that she was 70!
Actually I had met her once before...many many years ago when she interviewed me (I did not bring this up) to take over the management of her Jane Fonda Workout Studio in Beverly Hills, which she wanted to franchise. She narrowed it down to two of us and ended up hiring the other person. I believe she thought I was too young and in retrospect I think she was right.
She lectured this evening to all the guests at the Ranch....I caught the last few minutes. She seems content, wiser, and has a great sense of humor. Seeing her at 70, and Deborah Szekely at 85, certainly makes aging much less scary.

How interesting and fun that you met her! I've heard she hasn't had any
"work" done (as in surgery) and wondered if that seemed to be true.
I do think she is an example of what exercise (and a great dermo) can do to combat the ravages of time.
